Exploring Aruba and the Butterfly Farm

Executive Director, Cheryl Petty Garnette, surprised the Popcorn Club students at Forest Heights Elementary School with their own butterfly from her recent trip to Aruba. The Popcorn Club The Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics (STEAM) activity included measuring distance on a map, describing elements of the butterfly, drawing their butterfly, researching State butterflies online and using scientific inquiry to guess which butterfly belonged to their classmate. Forest Heights students became butterfly explorers for the day!
